A very special thanks to Phil Conine and Tucker Hill for providing flawless Percussion and Bass talent. This is a song about the struggles of adjusting into everyday life after a major setback. We hope you enjoy this piece that is just the tip of our musical iceberg. -Dec 2, 2019
The unforgiving city of Philadelphia is the home base for the Ska/Reggae Punk act Eastern Function. The band was founded in 2013 by lead singer and guitarist Greg Cop. This group of talented musicians brings a flowing combination of three gritty styles to form the hallmark of this power trio’s brand. You never quite know what you will be getting from Eastern Function. Whether it’s a head-bashing punk track, or a laid back island vibe, one thing is for sure, they are here .... And they are here to stay. They consistently guarantee their fans one hell of an exciting show, and leave them with an overwhelming desire to party with the band afterwards!
Along with guitarist and lead vocalist Greg Cop, other members include Tucker Hill on bass & vocals, and Michael Greaser on drums and percussion, all of whom round out this intoxicating trio. With songs that touch on everything from addictions and violence to relationships and traveling, the trio of punks creates a style that can be heard in speakers of the cities or the suburbs.
The band exhibits an undeniable “Sublime-Like” vibe. Other influences include Operation Ivy, Bad Brains, The Clash, The Dead Milkmen, Death Grips, and Rage Against the Machine.
After a successful EP release in 2016 entitled “Jawn”, Eastern Function is currently in post- production for their upcoming debut full length album to be titled “Medicine”. The new full length will be produced by Casey Cavaliere, producer, songwriter, and guitarist for the top 20 Billboard charting pop-punk band, “The Wonder Years” (Hopeless/UniversalTM). The record will be recorded at the state-of-the-art studio “True Level Studios” in Blackwood, New Jersey. If all
goes well, and on schedule, the new album is earmarked to hit the streets in late May – early June of this year. The release of the new album will be followed by a national tour in late summer into the fall.
